About these terms
This website is operated by Prime Buildings & Developments Ltd, registered in England, company no. 13832764. By using it you accept these terms. Every building project is also governed by its own written agreement, which takes precedence over this page.
Website content
Information on this site is general guidance and not a substitute for project-specific advice. Planning, Building Regulations and Party Wall requirements depend on your property and should be confirmed for your project.
Estimates
We provide estimates, not fixed quotes. Estimates are prepared by a professional quantity surveyor from the scope known at the time. They are free for most projects; for unusually large or complex schemes a detailed estimate costs £250 including VAT, and we will tell you before any work on it starts. Changes found once work begins may affect the final cost and will be discussed with you.
Payments
The first payment is due 72 hours before the agreed start date. Interim payments are made in 4 to 7 stages, each invoiced when that stage is visibly complete. A small remaining balance is due on practical completion and handover.
Insurance and guarantees
We hold £5,000,000 public liability insurance and employers’ liability insurance. An optional insurance-backed guarantee is available at 15% of the final project cost.
Liability
We are not liable for loss arising from reliance on general website content. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under English law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
